Bettye Griffith has been employed by the City of Inglewood for over 15 years and serves as the Director of the Residential Sound Insulation Department. She manages an annual budget of over $30 million and oversees the department’s administrative and construction operations.
Prior to joining the City of Inglewood, Bettye held various positions in the financial services industry throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Most of her time was spent at Security Pacific National Bank where she focused on Industrial Engineering projects.
Bettye is a native of Iowa and attended the University of Redlands where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Management. Bettye’s commitment to the community has manifested itself through her service to organizations that not only include UFSC, but also Black Women’s Forum, The Regalettes, LA Metro Special Olympics and AbilityFirst formerly known as the Crippled Children Society. She whole-heartedly believes that there is no greater reward than giving back to her community.
