Roderick HayesGreetings Members and Supporters!

Happy New Year.

A new year often brings change. In that spirit, we are excited to launch our new website!   The site has been designed to highlight our three key focus areas: Economic Empowerment, Educational Advancement, and Professional Development.  UFSC chapters and members across the country work countless hours to help meet this mission.  It is our hope that the new site will serve as a centralized resource for our chapters, members, and communities.

I am excited to serve as your President for the next two years.  As we embark on 2016, we have much work to do.  We face continued economic challenges, and although the job market is recovering, there is very much a “new normal”.  The need for financial education in the low-to-moderate segments to budget, save, and build a financial nest egg, as well as securing ways to hold on to and grow the wealth our families have accumulated, has never been greater.  The focus on small business to grow the economy can benefit from the expertise of our members.  Supporting the unique needs of our youth who choose to enter the financial services industry include scholarships, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.  All of these circumstances underscore the need for an organization such as ours.

Over the next month, the executive team will be meeting to set strategic goals to help meet the focus areas of our mission statement.  As we continue to build UFSC, we are seeking talented individuals who wish to partner with the executive team to advance the organization.  For additional information or volunteer opportunities, please email me at president@ufscnet.org.

I, along with our board of directors, am excited about our organizations future and thank you in advance for your continued support.
