Urban Financial Services Coalition invites you to Part II of the 7th Annual African American Briefing for Financial Professionals, June 3 -4, 2018, Washington DC.

The briefing kicks off with a networking dinner at the Carolina’s Kitchen on Sunday, June 3, 2018, 6:00 pm. The soul food dinner will give attendees the opportunity to meet their colleagues that will be attending the briefing, renew friendships from last year’s briefing and serve as an icebreaker for people who are new to the briefing.

June 4, 2018 will be a day to Be Informed, Be Engaged and Be Advocate for change by learning about the current governmental and legislative changes in the financial services industry and its impact on financial institutions, financial professionals and communities of colors.

This year’s line-up experts features speakers from American Bankers Association, Office of the Comptroller, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and many more. The following members of Congress have been invited to participate: Karen Bass, Mark Warner, Maxine Waters, Tim Scott, and Mia Love.

General Sessions: Attendees will hear from a variety of subject matter experts on topics that impact the financial services industry and community of colors.

 

Capitol Hill Briefing: Urban Financial Services Coalition has invited members of the Congressional Caucus, House Committee on Financial Services and Governmental Leaders to discuss key concerns in the financial services industry and their impact on communities of color.

 

Networking Dinner at The Carolina Kitchen:  The Carolina Kitchen is the most amazing and popular southern cuisine restaurant group; it has a unique charm that appeals to everyone. From the moment one enters, they are transported to another world designed to stimulate the soul and indulge the senses. It was created offer its guest taste buds an amazing journey through the South. Using only the freshest ingredients to their menu, they combine unique blends of Cajun and Creole spices with traditional and savory home style cooking.
