The White House Office of Engagement would like to invite UFSCÂ members and friendsÂ to participate in a conference call with Ana Ma, Chief of Staff of Small Business Administration (SBA) and Calvin Jenkins, Deputy Associate Administrator of Government Contracting and Business Development, for a briefing on the new regulations to strengthen and improve the 8a Business Development Program.
The SBA is excited to announce that the regulations and guides for the revised 8(a) Business Development program have been finalized and posted on the Federal Register.Â Find more information on the SBA website, http://sba.gov/content/revised-8a-regulations.
The newly revised rules covers a variety of areas of the program, ranging from clarifications on determining economic disadvantage to tightening the requirements on Joint Ventures contracts, including those awarded under a Mentor ProtÃ©gÃ© agreement.Â Overall, the goal is to strengthen the program and better ensure that its benefits flow to their intended recipients.Â
