We have all heard that networking is still one of the most powerful methods of connecting to business and career/job opportunities and will most likely stay that way for ever. But most people don’t know how to effectively build and use networking to increase their odds to connect to opportunities. Having a strong network is important for everyone whether you’re employed or in a job search. In the workshop portion of the session participants will learn the following:
- What is networking?
- Is networking really effective?
- What are some of todayâs tools to support building a network?
- What is LinkedIn and why is it so powerful?
- Understanding the sections of a LinkedIn Profile
- Tips on building a powerful LinkedIn Profile
- Methods to connect to people and build a strong network
- How to use your LinkedIn network for future opportunities.
First impressions have always mattered, and in the past it was all about the handshake. Now that we’ve entered the era of LinkedIn, virtual business, and online personal branding, a well-done headshot can be equally important as a firm grip. A carefully chosen headshot is a key part of publicly representing yourself and your brand. As with all first impressions, your headshot should set the tone for who you are and what you’re about. Get dressed and do your hair or get a fresh cut, just like you would if you were heading off to an interview at the company of your choice, for your polished, professional headshot. The investment is only $15. Reserve Your Photo Shoot Time Today.
